About the Project

Our team developed a real-time, second-screen voting application for Virtuózok that allowed viewers to engage directly with the competition by voting for their favorite contestants during the live broadcast on National 1 (M1) television.

The app provides an interactive experience, with real-time voting integrated seamlessly into the live show, enabling viewers to influence the outcome of the competition. The final winner of the competition was determined based on votes cast by viewers through the app.

Solution

We created a mobile app for both iOS and Android, complete with a custom CMS backend system, to manage the voting process and allow users to engage with the show on a deeper level. Key features of the app include:

1. Real-Time Voting: Viewers could cast their votes for contestants during the live broadcast, with results updated in real-time.

2. Engaging Second-Screen Experience: The app served as an interactive second screen, allowing users to engage directly with the competition as they watched it on TV.

3. Backend System: A robust CMS backend system was developed to handle the massive number of votes and ensure smooth, real-time interaction throughout the show.

   
   

Results

Tens of thousands of users downloaded the app, and a significant percentage participated in voting during the final evening of the competition. The app’s success was evident in its widespread usage, and it played a crucial role in determining the final winner.

Virtuózok is returning for its third series this spring, and once again, our mobile app will be at the heart of the viewer interaction and voting process.
